PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:Provides learning experiences in a variety of settings for students unable to attend school due to illness or injury.Serves as liaison between home and school.Maintains appropriate student supervision to provide a safe and orderly learning environment.Implements instructional activities provided by the student's teacher of record.Picks up and delivers student assignments.Maintains appropriate records to document student progress.Maintains a dependable homebound/homebased schedule and positive learning environment.Implement technology for instructional delivery as appropriate.Completes and submits required documentation for payment of services in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):Required:Minnesota teaching license.Ability to work and communicate effectively.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Demonstrates ability to successfully manage time and materials effectively.Demonstrates ability to maintain a positive learning environment.Behaves in a professional and ethical manner.Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.Ability to teach up to 25 hours per week including but not limited to regular school hours.Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.Ability to travel to home and/or community locations.Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.Desired:Minnesota K-12 Special Education license.Posting will be removed from the website when the position has been filled.Equal Opportunity Employer
