Step into your first shift as a Horizontal CNC Mill Setup Specialist
Location: Corona, CA Shift: 1st, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay: $24–$28/hr (DOE)
Your day starts by reviewing a new aerospace part print. You plan the setup for a horizontal machining center, choose fixturing, and bring the prototype to life. You dial in offsets, make minor program edits as needed, and validate the first article using precision measuring tools. Once the process is proven, you transition the job into production, keeping quality tight and changeovers efficient in a fast-paced manufacturing/aerospace environment.
What you’ll do
Own setups and fixturing for CNC milling jobs (HMC experience strongly preferred)
Take parts from prototype through production with minimal supervision
Read and interpret blueprints to guide machining strategy
Apply offsets and perform minor program edits to optimize results
Use precision measuring instruments to confirm part quality
What you bring
3–5 years of CNC milling experience (horizontal experience preferred)
Proven skill in fixturing and prototype work
Ability to perform setups, offsets, and small program edits
Comfort interpreting blueprints and working independently
