Horticulture Laborer

Get outdoors, work with your hands, and help create beautiful garden spaces at a living museum of exquisite plants and trees! We’re looking for multiple dependable Landscapers/General Laborers who enjoys working with plants, nature, and a team in an outdoor environment. If you are looking for prominent experience and industry connections related to horticulture, botany, and arboriculture; this is the job for you!

[MAIN DUTIES]

• Maintain and care for a wide variety of ornamental and native plants using proper landscaping and horticultural practices.
• Perform hands-on outdoor work including planting, pruning, garden maintenance, and operating small power equipment.
• Work alongside the foreman and team to maintain beautiful garden areas and provide a positive experience for guests.

[REQUIREMENTS]

• At least 1 year of landscaping, garden maintenance, horticulture, or related experience; education in a related field may also qualify.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work year-round in all weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, willingness to learn, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a valid driver's license.

[DETAILS]

• Mon-Fri, 7AM - 3:30PM
• Starting pay is $17 an hour
• Occasional work may be required at the Cleveland Botanical Garden campus with some evening and weekend requirements.
