Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for the efficient manufacture and quality forming of production parts within the assigned department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):
  1. Check specifications as to job and perform numbers.
  2. Retrieve proper pre-form and guide onto mandrel using lubricant as necessary.
  3. Position loaded mandrels in curing rack for curing. Move curing rack into autoclave when full.
  4. Remove curing rack from autoclave to proper work area.
  5. Position mandrel bars for unloading. Remove formed hose from mandrel, place into proper container.
  6. Position full baskets with proper job and employee clock numbers.
  7. Identify parts baskets with proper job and employee clock numbers.
  8. Set up curing racks per production and supervisor guidance.
  9. Replenish lubricant in trough as needed.
  10. Perform all operations according to standard practice or as directed by supervisor to produce quality parts.
  11. Fill out required paperwork as necessary.
  12. Record cure charts as required.
  13. Perform other miscellaneous duties required but not listed above.





REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).
  1. High School Diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing experience preferred (particularly in a team environment).
  2. NCRC certified preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).
  1. Interpersonal Skills Must be able to read and write at a medium level for the purpose of understanding and applying quality documentation and standard operating procedures, along with completion of job / time reporting.
  2. Problem-solving May be asked to participate in continuous improvement activities and perform basic mathematics.
  3. Physical / Mental / Visual abilities Duties of job require periods of standing, use of hands (pushing and pulling > 50 lbs.) and fingers, bending and reaching, lifting (> 50lbs.) and movement of materials frequently. Must be able to visually interpret work instructions.
REQUIRED DECISION-MAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT (Describe the typical types of decisions made by employees in this job and the likely impact of those decisions on the Company).
  1. The position will decide on a daily basis the acceptable level of quality for finished product to be shipped to the customer.
  2. This determination will be based upon interpretation of the customer specifications and past experience.
  3. Customer rejections of finished product could incur additional costs and may jeopardize the sourcing of business to the company.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (Indicate job titles for this job's supervisor and direct reports).
  1. Directly Reports To: Group Leader / Shift Supervisor
  2. Indirectly Reports To: Business Unit Manager- II
WORKING CONDITIONS (Describe the environment within which the work is performed).
  1. Work time will be spent in general factory floor environments.
  2. Temperature and noise may vary depending on external environmental conditions.
  3. Lack of attention and carelessness may result in personal injury to self or others.
