JSSA Hospice has an immediate opening for a PRN Chaplain to be available as needed Monday through Saturday for end of life visits providing spiritual guidance for our Montgomery County, Maryland patients and their families. Responsibilities
Facilitate end of life conversations and decision-making with the family or caregiver.Provide pastoral, spiritual, and religious care to patients, family members, and relatives of varying faiths.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nurse, social worker, volunteer, physician) to ensure appropriate and timely support.Document visits within the required timeline in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Master of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree from a theological school2+ units of CPE requiredMinimum 3 years of pastoral experience in a clinical settingA minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospice programExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications and Homecare Homebase electronic medical record systemPossess a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to make visits within Montgomery County and Northern Virginia
