Per Diem hours -
Education:
Graduate Degree in Theology and/or counseling. Professional training in Pastoral Care. Clinical pastoral education in Health Care is preferred.
Certification/Licensure: None
Experience:
Three years of experience in pastoral care is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typical Physical Demands: Requires ability to walk up and down stairs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal limits. Requires ability to travel to and from cases including the operation of a motor vehicle. Requires use of office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines and copy machines.
Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed in facilities, private homes, and an office environment. Contact with staff, clients, families, physicians, police, clergy, ambulance crews, pharmacists, vendors, volunteers, and students. May be required to work with uncooperative and combative residents. EMPLOYEMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to develop and maintain supportive relationships with patients, families, staff and hospice volunteers. Ability to identify and meet the pastoral needs of resents/clients/families. Ability to support staff on issues surrounding care, patient support and bereavement. Knowledge of Hospice concepts of care. Knowledge of denominational procedures and rituals to facilitate pastoral care.
