Coordinate and implement staff education, orientation, and competencies in alignment with regulatory requirements, company strategic initiatives, best practices, and employee needs.

What you’ll do in this role:


• In collaboration with Human Resources, coordinate Agency orientation for clinical staff
• Develop and coordinate ongoing staff development and clinical training course content
• Ensure Agency compliance with required orientation and ongoing educational and in-service needs as directed by the Medicare CoPs, CHAP standards, and other applicable accreditation/governmental agency requirements
• Working with Clinical leadership, coordinate Staff Meeting Agenda and In-services
• Working with Clinical leadership, provide content for field staff conference calls
• Participate with clinical leadership staff in the selection of agency preceptors/mentors
• Develop preceptor/mentor curriculum and ensures training of Agency preceptors/mentors
• Distribute and ensure receipt of staff meeting information to staff not attending meetings
• Collaborate with clinical management staff on process improvement and problem solving, including staff education and remediation needs
• Assist with duties in office as requested
• Perform field visits as needed
• Participate in agency program development and implementation
• Assist other clinical departments with documentation improvement as needed
• Assemble and maintain a documentation task force for ongoing documentation recommendations
• Provide CEU-credited education courses to community facilities
• Manage time to encompass all duties and documentation requirements
• Complete and submit all corporate documents and reports in a timely manner
• Meet or exceed established targeted goals
• Maintain communication with the Director regarding compliance
• Comply with Company’s Core Values and Core Competencies
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

 We are looking for a compassionate Hospice Clinical Educator with:

• Licensed RN or BSN with current state license 
• Master’s degree in Nursing or health care-related field preferred
• 2 years of experience in Hospice Education
• 1 year of experience in Quality Improvement related activities preferred
• CPR Instructor-certified or ability to be certified as such
• Ability to train and develop employees to meet company expectations
• Structured, organized, very detailed, and able to meet deadlines
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare Guidelines for Hospice
