Job Title: Hospice Dispatch and Warehouse Manager

Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher.
  • Two or more years of experience in durable medical equipment or similar experience.
  • Understanding of the structure of medical practices, home health/hospice agencies, acute/sub-acute care facilities. Prefer background in most aspects of DME products.

Job Summary:

Discover a rewarding career at Arcare. Responsible for taking orders, getting completed paperwork signed for delivery and ensuring compliance with all federal/state regulations. Maintains accurate and complete records of all interactions with referral resources. Tracks mileage and records a daily log sheet with information as to who was seen, what the interaction was, what the action plans and what are the follow up tasks.Reports those completed logs on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excels at customer service via phone and walk-ins.
  • Schedules daily deliveries and pickups for non-hospice patients.
  • Performs daily deliveries and pickups when needed.
  • Stocks and maintains inventory.
  • Performs on call duties for DME as needed.
  • Dispatches hospice orders.
  • Contacts patient's family and/or hospice nurse to arrange for deliveries.
  • Contact other DME companies to arrange for pickup of their equipment.
  • Coordinates with families, hospice, hospitals, and other DME's to make sure that the patient was required equipment and that there is no time lapse where the patient would be without needed equipment.
  • Organize the drivers' routes.
  • Inspect the van for required maintenance and routine care.
  • Manages the operations of van drivers.
  • Responsible for inventory control, including ordering and maintaining.
  • Delivers and picks up equipment as needed.
  • Orders parts and repairs equipment.
  • Sends off equipment, i.e.: Oxygen machines, nebs, etc., when needing warranty repairs and replacements.
  • Calls patients to troubleshoot any equipment issues that arise.
  • Performs on call duties for hospice as needed.
