Hospice Executive Director
This is a key leadership role responsible for the overall direction of hospice services, including operations, compliance, staffing, quality, patient care delivery, and performance against business objectives.
We are looking for a strong hospice operator who can lead from the front, build and retain a solid team, maintain compliance, and drive disciplined execution across the branch.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospice program
- Lead branch performance across operations, staffing, compliance, service delivery, and quality outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements
- Hire, develop, and retain qualified hospice personnel
- Oversee staff orientation, training, competency, and ongoing development
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and support interdisciplinary team coordination
- Monitor operational performance, service utilization, and progress toward strategic goals
- Ensure strong communication across staff, leadership, patients, families, and referral partners
- Oversee policies, procedures, and standards of care to support high-quality hospice services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
- Master’s degree in nursing preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of hospice management experience
- Must meet applicable Georgia requirements for hospice administrator qualifications
- Local candidate, with acute local hospice market knowledge & connections preferred.
- RN a plus, but not required if otherwise qualified under Georgia hospice administrator requirements
