Hospice Field LPN

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated LPN to work with us in Pinellas County while providing exceptional care on the following schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p. The LPN visits hospice patient in their homes utilizes monitoring, intervention, and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and enhance the quality of life for the patient.

What youll Do

• Provide ongoing monitoring of physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Provide accurate and appropriate documentation of patient/family services
• Provide nursing care under the direction of the Primary RN to a specified group of patients, to provide continuity of care.
• Receive and implement orders under the direction of the RN from the physician.
• Following a patient's death collaborates with primary RN/Counselor and participates as needed in closure contact with family/caregivers.
• Administer medications and treatments prescribed by the attending physician in collaboration with Primary RN and/or PFCC

What Youll Need

• Licensure: Valid Florida LPN License.
• Valid Florida State Driver's License
• CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Current IV Therapy certification preferred. Must obtain the certification within six months of hire date.
