Qualifications

• BC/BE physician required.
• Completion of Hospice/Palliative Medicine fellowship preferred.
• 1-3 years of hospice medical director experience preferred.

About Position

• Full time position serving as Hospice Medical Director for Avera Hospice Sioux Falls (80%) and Lead Hospice Medical Director for Avera Hospice system (20%).

• CMS Hospice 5 Star designation.
• 16 bed inpatient facility that provides all levels of care.
• Census between 130-150 home hospice patients.
• Contribute to the inter-disciplinary team and oversee clinical aspects of patient care, modeling excellent communication skills, integrity, compassion, and accountability.
