    Job Summary

    The Pet Therapy Volunteer provides comfort, companionship, and emotional support to hospice patients through supervised visits with a certified therapy animal. This role plays an important part in enhancing quality of life for patients and offering moments of joy, relaxation, and connection during end-of-life care.

    Qualifications

    • Registered/certified therapy animal through a recognized therapy pet organization

    What You’ll Do

    • Visit hospice patients with a certified therapy pet in accordance with scheduled visits
    • Provide a calming and supportive presence for patients, families, and caregivers
    • Monitor the pet’s behavior to ensure a safe and positive interaction at all times
