Hillcrest Health Services is looking for a compassionate and clinically confident Hospice Weekend RN to join our hospice team serving the Omaha and Southwest Iowa areas.

What You'll Do
As the Hospice Weekend RN, you will serve as the Primary Weekend RN responsible for coordinating and providing hospice nursing care across the Omaha and Southwest Iowa service areas every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until Midnight.
This is a full-time weekend position-not a traditional on-call role. Youll receive 40 hours of guaranteed pay each week while working two 16-hour weekend shifts (32 scheduled hours), with the additional 8 hours provided as guaranteed compensation for your weekend commitment.
You will work alongside a dedicated Weekend RN partner, collaborating throughout the day to triage patient needs, divide visits, support admissions, and ensure timely, compassionate care for hospice patients and families. Together, you will serve as the primary clinical resource for weekend patient care.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who is calm under pressure, clinically strong, and passionate about supporting patients and families during difficult moments.
The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, making sound clinical decisions, and providing compassionate care in home, facility, and community settings.
Ideal candidates will have:
Education & Credentials
Active Registered Nurse license in Nebraska or a compact state required.
Valid driver's license required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds.
Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, bending, standing, and movement as needed.
Must be flexible, calm, and professional in stressful and emotionally challenging situations.
Must be able to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the hospice team.
Must be able to utilize technology and resources efficiently and effectively.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
Other duties as assigned.
