Position: Hospice Support Manager
Location: Richland WA
Type: Full Time Exempt
Anticipated Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
This position participates in the after-hours administrator on-call rotation; candidates must be available to provide after hours support as required.

Position Overview:
The Hospice Support Manager provides operational and clinical leadership for hospice support services, overseeing the intake, triage, admissions, float nurse support, liaison, and ancillary staff. This role ensures timely, accurate, and patient-centered Hospice and Palliative Care. This role supervises support staff, facilitates coordination of care activities, and ensures compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements and quality standards.
The position serves as a leadership resource for staff, patients, and families, supporting day-to-day operations, staff development, and continuity of care. While primarily managing, the Hospice Support Manager must provide direct patient care to meet patient, staff, and agency needs.
This role includes participation in leadership, staff training, quality improvement initiatives, and the administer on-call rotation. Reliable travel to patient homes, facilities, and community locations is required. The Hospice Support Manager collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team and leadership to promote timely patient admission to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy services, efficient workflow, high-quality patient care, and a supportive environment for staff and families.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Current unrestricted Washington State Registered Nurse's License
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required or must be obtained within thirty-six (36) months of hire.
Minimum four (4) years of post-education clinical experience
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS)
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation, as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements
This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in program development and coordination
Experience in home health, and hospice nursing.
Two (2) years of leadership experience in management or supervisory capacity.
Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages

Compensation
Hiring Range: : $86,969.26/annually - $132,114.15/annually
$3,000 Sign-On Bonus: New hires are eligible to receive a $3,000 bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment in good standing.

Language Proficiency: Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Work Availability: Be available to work as assigned or scheduled.
