    Location: Austin, TX
    Coverage Area: Buda, TX and the surrounding areas

    Salary: Per Visit
    Schedule: PRN

    What You Need to Know:

    AccentCare is seeking a hospice field visit physician that can provide compassionate, patient-centered medical care to individuals with serious, advanced, or terminal illnesses. This role is responsible for conducting hospice and/or palliative care visits, evaluating patients for hospice eligibility and recertification, managing pain and symptoms, and supporting patients and families through goals-of-care and advance care planning discussions.  

     

    If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you: 

    • Must be a licensed Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) in the state(s) of practice, with training or experience in caring for chronically or terminally ill patients
    • Maintains active, unrestricted medical and DEA licenses in the state of X
    • Working knowledge of hospice and palliative care, including pain and symptom management.
    • Familiarity with hospice regulations and Medicare requirements.
    • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and providers.
    • Ability to manage complex clinical and ethical situations in end-of-life care.
    • (Preferred) Hospice or hospice visit experience
    • (Preferred) Experience with business growth/development

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate patients for pain, symptom management, and hospice eligibility (admissions and recertifications).
    • Counsel patients and families on care options and advance care planning.
    • Order tests, initiate treatment, and conduct face-to-face visits as needed.
    • Serve as Attending Physician when appropriate.
    • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and communicate with attending physicians to ensure continuity.
    • Manage patient medications.
    • Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 availability when assigned.
    • Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation.
