Volunteers are valued members of the hospice care team who help extend care beyond clinical services and bolter emotional well-being.Responsibilities:
- Spend time with hospice patients, offering companionship, conversation, or quiet presence in homes or care centers.
- Provide caregiver respite by giving families short breaks.
- Engage patients in activities such as reading, listening to music, or conversation.
- Help with light errands or simple tasks.
- Offer support at community events
- Help with office administrative duties
Qualifications:Must be 18 years or older for hospice patient visitsCompassionate, patient, reliable, and respectful of diverse cultures and backgroundsAble to commit some schedule flexibilityBackground check, orientation/training, valid drivers license for patient visits
