Description

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned, with 17 IPU beds and eight state-of-the-art surgical suites. We have been serving the Kansas City area for over 20 years.

We're seeking a full-time Admissions Team Lead to manage our MRI, Urgent Care, Surgery, and Pain areas. This is a working team lead position reporting directly to the Admissions Supervisor. As the Admissions Team Lead, you will work alongside your Customer Services Specialists and Admission Representatives. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with Clinical Managers to ensure service excellence and elevate the patient admissions process of our two entrances.

The typical Team Lead schedule is Mondays-Fridays; 5:00am-2:00pm and 9:00am-6:00pm. Must work at least one weekend per month in the Urgent Care/MRI area. 

The Team Lead must also be available to provide coverage during the staff absences and able to work Mondays-Friday between the hours of 5:00am-7:30pm/8:00pm; and Saturdays between the hours of 7:15am-4:00pm; and Sundays between the hours of 10:00am-4:00pm.  

Other responsibilities include:

  • Hiring, training and scheduling
  • Providing day-to-day staff guidance
  • Providing performance feedback
  • Tracking and providing statistical data collection and preparing reports/spreadsheets

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills and respect for confidentiality.
  • Must be able to multi-task and possess strong attention to detail.
  • Basic level of computer skills required.
