Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures according to physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate CT and radiologic imaging equipment efficiently and safely
- Produce accurate diagnostic images while maintaining exceptional image quality standards
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
- Verify patient identification and explain procedures clearly before imaging
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care
- Perform routine equipment quality control and report equipment concerns promptly
- Adhere to all hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory standards
Education & Certification Requirements
- A.R.R.T. Registration Required
- O.D.H. Licensure Required
- BLS Certification Required (May be obtained during orientation period)
- 13 years of experience in Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) within a healthcare or medical setting Preferred
