VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking an experienced Hospital Manager II - Multi-Site Leadership to oversee our Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms companion animal hospitals. Your Impact

As Hospital Manager, you'll provide leadership across every aspect of hospital operations while creating an exceptional experience for Associates, clients, and patients.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, hire, coach, and retain exceptional talent.
  • Develop future leaders through mentorship and career development.

  • Lead performance management, recognition, and succession planning.

Hospital Operations

  • Lead the daily operations of two companion animal hospitals.
  • Improve workflow, efficiency, and the overall client experience.
  • Support high-quality patient care through operational excellence.
  • Partner with Medical Directors to achieve strategic hospital goals.
  • Ensure compliance with VCA standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Business Leadership

  • Manage financial performance and hospital budgets.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Improve productivity, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive sustainable business growth while maintaining exceptional medical care.

Veterinary experience is preferred, but we also welcome experienced leaders from healthcare, hospitality, retail, multi-site operations, and other service industries who are passionate about leading people and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership experience managing multiple departments or locations.
  • Experience leading teams of 20 or more Associates.
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting and P&L accountability.
  • Proven success hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
