Global Service Resources is looking for an experienced Hospital Medical Assistant to join our team!

Job Title: Hospital Medical Assistant
Location: Torrance, CA 90502
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
Pay Rate: $40/hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond rapidly to incoming and outgoing air rescue transport calls.
  • Ensure ambulance readiness for patient pickup and drop-off.
  • Assist nursing and provider staff with patient care activities within EMT scope of practice.
  • Monitor and obtain patient vital signs.
  • Assist with BVM, CPR, and emergency patient care procedures.
  • Escort patients throughout the Emergency Department and triage areas.
  • Transport non-monitored patients to diagnostic departments such as X-Ray.
  • Assist with wound care, dressing changes, irrigation, and suture removal.
  • Assist with splinting of extremities and procedural tray setup.
  • Place patients on monitors and administer oxygen as directed.
  • Assist with patient movement to gurneys and wheelchairs.
  • Stock supplies, IV carts, equipment carts, and treatment rooms.
  • Clean and prepare gurneys and patient care equipment.
  • Transport patients between the helipad and Emergency Department ambulance entrance.
  • Maintain effective communication with nurses, physicians, and emergency staff.

Qualifications:
  • Current California EMT Certification (non-restricted)
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented emergency care environment
Additional Credentials:
  • Current and Valid California Ambulance Driver License
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (Commercial Driver Medical Certification)
  • Fire Card
  • MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) and/or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification
