St. Josephs Health is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a per-diem Hospitalist position at St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Position Overview:
- Availability for 12-hour shifts; 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am (weekday and weekend shifts available)
- Provides professional medical services to an average daily census of 16-18 patients per Provider, closed ICU
- Makes daily rounds on all patients assigned to the Hospitalist Program
- Arranges for necessary follow-up care upon discharge from the Hospital
- Conducts a history and physical examination, and note dictated in our EPIC EMR system
- Work in conjunction with other consultants and Intensivist to effectively manage a medical crisis or change in assigned patients medical condition consulting with applicable parties in a timely fashion
- Works with an established medical center with comprehensive subspecialty support
Qualifications:
- This opportunity is not J1/H1B visa sponsorship eligible
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Valid medical license in the state of New York
- Prior experience as a Hospitalist preferred but not required
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
Recruitment Package:
- Compensation Ranges: $180 to $210 per hour (dependent on shift hours, holiday coverage, etc.)
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
