Local Team Collaboration

At Methodist Northlake Campus our strong collaborative team includes 6 physicians and two advanced practitioners who join forces with other hospital staff and departments to bring the best possible quality of care to our patients.

Work alongside a very diverse team who come from all different geographical locations backgrounds and cultures. We collaborate and partner with each other to support and provide help.

Our clinical performance nurse supports you in providing a high-quality patient care experience.

Qualifications

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board certified/eligible in family or internal medicine Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in Indiana We welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or desiring a career change We are proud sponsors of H-1B visa candidates with Sound boasting in-house visa specialists and licensing and credentialing experts. All requisite visa filing fees and services are covered by Sound.

Scheduling

We have both day and night positions with an array of flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities

Day Hospitalists: Round on patients as well as do admissions. Our model is 2 Hospitalists along with an APP working as a team. We do not perform procedures but we do run codes and rapids. You will be admitting to the ICU but do consult with an intensivist. We also have specialty support that can be at the hospital within minutes if necessary. We work with Epic as our EMR system and would be cross-credentialed at our sister location in Merrillville.

Located on the Indiana-Illinois border just outside of the Chicagoland area you will find the communities of Gary and Merrillville, Indiana. Located just 12 miles from each other it is easy to work between both locations. Northwest Indiana is a great locale on Lake Michigans southern shore with its cities and towns offering a diverse range of lifestyles with convenient access via train to downtown Chicago. The area offers a variety of housing educational and recreation opportunities along with a multitude of public and private schools.

Our guiding principle is patient-first care which means were focused on the people of Merrillville and nearby areas. Youll be part of a team thats making a real difference in the health of our neighbors.
