Pay Rate: $17.20/hr

This role is essential in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of laboratory testing. Your work ensures that patient specimens are handled correctly, directly supporting quality diagnostics and positive patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and process patient specimens following pre-analytical procedures with precision
  • Perform specimen accessioning and manage test send-outs
  • Utilize systems and platforms for tracking and reporting
  • Troubleshoot specimen issues including missing information, sample discrepancies, and test cancellations
  • Serve as a liaison between hospital staff and the laboratory team
  • Manage inbound calls and provide proactive customer support
  • Maintain inventory and handle supply ordering processes

What We're Looking For

  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience
  • Medical or laboratory background preferred, including knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong data entry skills (ability to meet high keystroke requirements)
  • Experience with hospital LIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, biohazard environment while maintaining composure
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
