Description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $12.20hr - $17.20hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High School Diploma/equivalent is required.
  • 1+ years of working experience.
  • Demonstrated data entry skills with the ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour.
  • Command of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and follow all pre-analytical processing procedures with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in test ordering policies, hospital processing procedures, specimen requirements, and compliance/legal requirements.
  • Utilize Hospital LIS systems for data entry and reporting.
  • Print performed testing reports.
  • Interpret specimen flow/tracking data utilizing all available reports and resources.
  • Manage supply ordering processes.
  • Perform remote accessioning and pre-accessioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to specimen types, missing information, and other issues.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and the performing laboratory to provide proactive support.
  • Manage inbound calls with positive client interaction.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with hospital laboratory staff and internal teams.
  • Provide information regarding problem-solving with specimens, test cancellations, and billing requirements.

Nice to Have:

  • Medical background including medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
  • Previous experience in a hospital laboratory environment.
  • Hospital LIS Systems knowledge or experience.

Qualification And Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Due to nature of job The candidate must have Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
