Prime Healthcare is seeking a dedicated, high-energy Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient medicine team at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois. In this full-time role, you will provide exceptional care to hospitalized patients during the afternoon/evening window, working collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and a supportive interdisciplinary team in a community hospital setting that values quality, efficiency, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

Position Highlights:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 11a - 7p - enjoy predictable time off for true work-life balance.
  • Role: Manage adult inpatient care, admissions, rounding, discharges, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Team: Work alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, and a supportive medical staff in a hospital under Prime Healthcare's resources and commitment to clinical excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Current Illinois NP or PA license
  • Active DEA license
  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • At least one year of inpatient experience
Pay Transparency:

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
