Hospitalist Gastroenterologist

Location:  Indianapolis, Indiana
Facility Name: Ascension St. Vincent Hospital
Schedule: Twenty for (24) weeks annually with a schedule of Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Each week of service will include two nights of call.

This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

• Join an established team of  6 physicians and 3 APPs
• Call structure: Each week of service will include two nights of call
• Practice setting: Mostly inpatient
• Access to tenured physicians and APPs
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology 
• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
• Eligible for Indiana state medical license and DEA registration
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
