- Shift: 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with call coverage
- Hours/week: Approximately 36 hours/week
- Employment Type: Per Diem/Contract
- Licenses/Certifications: Active MI Medical License, MI Controlled Substance License, MI DEA
- Experience: Board Certified Hospitalist with inpatient experience preferred

What You’ll Do- Cover inpatient hospitalist services during night shifts
- Manage an average inpatient census of 15 patients
- Handle approximately 2 admits per night
- Respond promptly within 20 minutes to admit requests
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with nursing and other clinical staff to ensure patient safety and care continuity
- Participate in onsite orientation prior to start date
What You Need- Active Michigan medical license
- MI Controlled Substance License
- MI DEA registration
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or equivalent
- At least 1 year of hospitalist or inpatient experience
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to admit needs
- Excellent communication and clinical skills
About the Assignment
This opportunity is with a respected healthcare facility in Hancock, MI, offering night-time hospitalist coverage. The role involves managing inpatient care during overnight hours, supporting the facility’s commitment to providing exceptional patient outcomes. Onsite orientation is scheduled for July 15 at 8:30 AM, with shifts available from July 16 to August 31 on various dates.
