Houston Methodist new Cypress Smart Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospital to join our highly skilled and collaborative hospitalist team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care during day shifts, contributing to our mission of unparalleled safety, quality, service, and innovation. This position is vital in ensuring 24/7 care continuity for our patients and supporting Houston Methodists commitment to leading medicine.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient care during daytime hours, including admissions, consultations, and managing medical emergencies.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services, to deliver high-quality care.

Ensure timely communication with patients, families, and referring physicians to facilitate care transitions.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety measures, and hospital protocols.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with medical records and billing standards.

Support the training and development of residents and medical students, as applicable.

Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

Licensure/Certification

Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.

Active Texas Medical License or eligibility for licensure in Texas.

Experience

Prior experience in a hospitalist or nocturnist role preferred. Two years previous experience is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to manage acute inpatient care efficiently.

Schedule: Full-time, 7-on/7-off Hospital schedule, 12-hour shifts.
