St. Francis Medical Center is seeking a Hospitalist Physician to join Epic Medical Group, a physician-led organization providing inpatient care in Lynwood, California. This opportunity offers a predictable block schedule, strong clinical support, and a collaborative hospital environment serving a diverse, high-acuity patient population.

The incoming physician will practice in a team-based model with intensivist support, focusing on inpatient medical management without procedural requirements.

Position Highlights

• 7-on/7-off schedule (Tuesday–Monday)
• Day shift only: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 1099 independent contractor model
• No procedures required
• No overnight in-house requirement
• Open ICU co-managed with intensivist team
• Call approximately every 6 weeks

St. Francis Medical Center is a leading acute care facility serving Southeast Los Angeles County, providing comprehensive services including emergency medicine, intensive care, cardiology, and surgical specialties.

Hospitalists work in a collaborative environment with specialists and intensivists, allowing for high-quality patient care in a well-supported hospital setting.

What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient medical management for hospitalized patients
• Collaborate with intensivists and specialty consultants
• Manage admissions, rounding, and discharges
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a team-based model

Schedule

Full-Time

• 7-on/7-off block schedule
• Day shifts only (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

What We're Looking For

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex inpatient cases
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment

Compensation

• $1,500 per shift (1099)
• Additional earning potential through collections model
• Flexible scheduling within block structure
• Stable leadership and practice support
