Hospitalist - Nocturnist Physician - Elkin, NC

Hugh Chatham Health is seeking an experienced Nocturnist Physician to join our growing Hospital Medicine team in beautiful Elkin, North Carolina. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight shifts
• Admit and manage hospitalized adult patients
• Respond to acute patient care needs, rapid responses, and medical emergencies
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, specialists, and day-shift providers
• Coordinate transfers when higher levels of care are required
• Ensure thorough and effective handoff communication to the daytime team

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina
• ACLS certification required
• Prior Hospital Medicine experience preferred
• New graduates are not being considered for this opportunity
