Stamford Health is seeking a full-time Nocturnist to be part of their growing team! Stamford Hospital is a 305-bed teaching community hospital affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Nocturnist will provide supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents in the Department of Medicine and Family Practice. Nocturnist will also provide medical consultation as necessary for Surgery and OB/GYN Residents and will provide emergency inpatient coverage of medical patients on the non-teaching medical service.

Work with 2-3 other Nocturnists at night

Average five admissions per night/physician
Schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off
Hospitalist group provides in-patient care 24/7
Closed ICU
Exclusively inpatient primary care service (general floors and critical care areas).

MD/DO License; CT Medical License or the ability to secure one
BE/BC required; Internal Medicine highly preferred
Prior Family Practice & sufficient in-patient experience to effectively carry out essential responsibilities
Must possess excellent communication, critical care and computer skill
