Hospitalist Pediatric Physician - Starting Salary $368,794, Sign On Bonus $75,000, Relocation $15,000

The Hospitalist Physician is committed to YKHCs mission: to achieve the greatest possible improvement in the health status of the people of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region of Alaska. This role is employed by YKHC and works under the supervision of the Medical Director, who is supervised by the Clinical Services Administrator.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum Education:
  Must have completed an accredited medical school.
• Minimum Experience:
  Must have completed a residency training program and be board-eligible or board-certified (unless a specific exception is made) by the appropriate board of the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association.
• License, Certification, Registration:
  Must hold an Alaska State Medical License and a DEA License.
• Equipment/Tools/Word-Aids:
  Must have the computer skills needed to access computerized medical records.
• Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
  Needs the skills and knowledge to practice medicine in the area of their specialty.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Ability to supervise medical students, residents, physician extenders, and Community Health Aide clinical practice.
