PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days
- Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, expedited locum privileges may be available
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Board: BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Licenses: Active Virginia license and DEA required
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
- Experience: Residency trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
- Other Qualifications: Clean file required for privileging; must be able to work with FM residents at Warren Memorial if covering that site
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide day rounding coverage at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital (and potentially Warren Memorial Hospital).
- Manage admissions and patient care for hospitalist service.
- Perform patient rounds, evaluate and treat acute care patients.
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff for patient management.
- Participate in EMR training and Valley Health training modules.
