The Hospitality Director is a leader in the restaurant dedicated to implementing and executing the Winning Hearts strategy (Great Food, Fast and Accurate, Genuine Hospitality, Clean and Safe Environment). The Hospitality Director steers the restaurant towards our Shared Vision to provide restoration for ALL who come in contact with Chick-fil-A Chico. The Hospitality Director is great at problem solving and can come up with solutions quickly. The Hosptiality Director’s focus is on continuous business improvement and development of people, processes and effective communication throughout all areas of the business. This position requires 40 hours a week. Role will require one off site visit of a high functioning CFA store to observe and implement changes.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in setting, sharing and celebrating team goals
• Identify and develop potential leaders
• Exemplify positive leadership in all situations
• Directly manage Productivity by monitoring it proactively, coaching SS, and assisting with callouts at all times the restaurant is open (not just on their shifts).
• Hold all (FOH and BOH) team members accountable for all restaurant policies
• Provide consistent feedback (positive and negative) to all employees.
• Apply corrective and disciplinary measures fairly and consistently, documenting conversations and actions.
• Hold bi-monthly 1-on-1 meetings with FOH Supervisors (meet during scheduled shifts)
• Troubleshoots issues in FOH with Director of Operations and CFA HELP.
• Partner with Kitchen Director to execute lean chicken entreé at all times
• Coach through and encourage a food-safe environment
• Working with the Drive Thru Director to create innovative and strategic thinking that ultimately leads to increased capacity (more cars, faster service) of the DT.
• Ensure and support REMARKable service by coaching and encouraging proper order-taking, excellent hospitality, impeccable speed and 100% order accuracy
• Use CEM findings to ensure consistency and quality of products and behaviors, address areas of improvement immediately, and work with other directors to address problems and create an action list
• Work with Kitchen Director to execute training and roll-out of new products
• Assess current systems, strategizing and executing plans for improvement
• Ensure excellent execution of campaigns and promotions
• Work with Catering Coordinator on execution of catering orders and systems
• Train on suggestive selling behaviors with FOH team members, including upsizing, new menu items, etc.
• Develop creative ways to expose guests to targeted menu items.
• Contribute to and maintain a restaurant culture that encourages mobile ordering on the Chick-fil-A One App
• Manage and decrease condiment and dessert costs by conceptualizing, implementing, and adjusting related systems
• Ensure the condition of front of house equipment, using designated systems for repair and maintenance.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset
• Directly Supervise FOH Shift Supervisors and Catering Coordinator
• Approve shift changes with knowledge of laws
• Be the point person for all Money issues & waste questions
• Do the final check off for New TM & TM moving up (Scheduler will schedule these)
• Know Control Point well and be able to make changes that are needed
