Summary
Under the direction of the Restaurant Manager, the Host/Cashier coordinates activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to restaurant patrons by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables and provides menus. • Address complaints of patrons and report them to the Lead Cashier, Floor Manager, and/ or F & B Director. • Keeps dining room serving stations neat and clean, • Helps wait staff prepare beverages and expedite food orders. • Takes To-go orders and packages food up. • Cashes out patrons and gives change when needed. • Helps bus and clean tables. • Rolls silverware • Totals receipts at the end of the shift to verify sales and clear cash register.
Qualifications
Must have previous cash-handling experience. Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours or more. Must be computer literate. Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently. Must be 18 years of age. Must be COVID-19 vaccinated or must obtain upon hire.
Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. 6-month work experience in related field is preferred. Must be certifiable by the Cocopah Tribal Gaming Office.
Work Environment
In the entertainment industry, one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, and stress.
