Major Food Group is hiring Hosts to join our team at CARBONE and CARBONE VINO in the Dallas Design District!
As one of the first points of contact with guests, the ideal candidates must exhibit enthusiasm, desire and all round passion for hospitality excellence.
CARBONE is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century in New York, where delicious, exceptionally well-prepared food was served in settings that were simultaneously elegant, comfortable and unpretentious.
CARBONE VINO, located just across the courtyard is a new concept from Major Food Group celebrating timeless artisanship and the most coveted wines of Italy. Complete with a thousand bottle wine list and 30 wines by the quartino. The menu features an extensive selection of handmade pastas, Sicilian pizzas, fresh gelato, and signature entrées like spicy rigatoni and fried veal chop prepared "your way".
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups.
Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests\ expectations.
Takes names on a waiting list.
Runs the floor plan board.
Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at the host area.
Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience.
Performs other duties as directed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required
Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).
Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
Proficient or ability to learn computer skills including POS systems, OpenTable, Word and Excel.
