Using innova8ve and ecologically sustainable prac8ces, we steward over 500 acres of pastureland, forests, and diversied produce gardens. We rota8onally graze heritage breed livestock and cul8vate cer8ed organic fruits, vegetables, and owers. Our mission is to promote organic regenera8ve agriculture through hands-on research, educa8on, and community engagement. Position Overview Philo Ridge Farm is seeking a professional, friendly, and communica8ve Dining Room Host to support our Hospitality program. As the rst point of contact, the Host creates a warm, welcoming experience by gree8ng guests, managing reserva8ons (phone, online, and walk-ins), and coordina8ng dining room ow through thoughXul sea8ng and clear communica8on with the front-of-house team. This role helps connect guests to our mission by sharing the story of the farm and suppor8ng a dining experience rooted in sustainable, regenera8ve food and land prac8ces. The Dining Room Server posi8on can be full-8me, part-8me or seasonal, requiring at least 18 hours a week, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Responsibilities Warmly greet and engage guests upon arrival, sharing the Philo Ridge Farm story and se g a welcoming tone Manage reserva8ons and guest informa8on via phone, online plaXorms, and walk-ins; conrm next-day reserva8ons and communicate special guest needs to the service team Monitor dining room ow, lead guests to their tables, oversee table rota8on, and turn 8mes to ensure smooth service and reserva8on fulllment philoridgefarm.org 2766 Mt. Philo Road, Charlotte, Vermont, 05445 Maintain a clean, organized, and invi8ng host stand, entrance area, and overall dining room ambiance-including appropriate ligh8ng, music, and updated menus Address guest concerns promptly and professionally; report issues to management as needed Restock administra8ve supplies and complete side work as directed by the Manager or Assistant Manager Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in a host or similar front-of-house restaurant role preferred Friendly, professional, and poised with a commitment to delivering warm, thoughXul customer service Team player with a self-star8ng a\tude and willingness to support wherever needed Passion for farm-to-table dining and interest in sustainable food systems Must be Reliable and punctual, with strong aBen8on to detail and the ability to follow procedures Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with variable hours, including weekdays, weekends, mornings, and evenings Physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods, li>ing and moving up to 50 pounds, and working in a range of indoor and outdoor condi8ons Compensation $16 - $20 per hour, based on experience, plus a share of the 8p pool.
