Host/Greeter

Walden Community Improvement Association is looking for a Host/Greeter. The Host provides a warm, professional welcome to members and guests of the Walden Yacht Club Restaurant. Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, answering basic questions, coordinating table availability with service staff, and maintaining a clean and organized entrance area. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, well-groomed, and committed to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required.

The ideal candidate has a customer-first mindset and aims to deliver high-quality service in every customer interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage inbound customer communications - Meet, greet, and seat customers in the restaurant.
• Consult on customer success - Advise customers on the menu and extensive wine list.
• Maintain working product knowledge - Act as expert to ensure information given to customers is accurate, up-to-date and rewarding.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in dealing with the public
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to address complaints and issues a positive attitude
• Passion for delighting customers with above and beyond service
• Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
