And because we specialize in breakfast and brunch, we do not operate night shifts — ever. Our staff enjoy evenings with family and friends while working with a high-performing, daytime-focused hospitality team.

As a Host/Hostess, you will be one of the driving forces behind the cafe’s success, properly greeting and seating guests with high quality customer service and hospitality all the while maintaining an efficient waitlist through prompt seating. The Guest’s experience starts and ends with you! Interacting with Guests while maintaining and controlling the flow of the restaurant is your first priority. You will monitor all sections of the restaurant for empty and clean tables, assist with resetting tables, estimate wait times for Guests, manage the wait list, manage to-go orders, and ensure that all the needs of the Guests are met while they are spending time with you up front.

Main Responsibilities

• Guest Reception: Warmly greet guests upon their arrival, manage reservations, and oversee seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Guest Service: Address and accommodate special requests, dietary needs, and seating preferences to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Communication: Act as the primary liaison between guests and restaurant staff, ensuring clear and effective communication to facilitate efficient service and address any guest concerns promptly.
• Operational Efficiency: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the guest reception area, manage and cleaning dining menus, and ensure all front-of-house materials are up-to-date and well presented. Also managing and delivering To-Go orders
• Safety Compliance: Monitor and maintain compliance with all restaurant safety standards and sanitation regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff.

Job Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or a hospitality role, with a demonstrated ability to engage and satisfy guests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting warmly and effectively with guests and team members.
• A keen eye for detail, ensuring all aspects of the guest experience are managed effectively from cleanliness to personal interactions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and holidays, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace.
