Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a warm, genuine welcome and maintain a professional presence at all times
- Manage reservations and seating using OpenTable, ensuring optimal table flow and timing
- Escort guests to tables while providing thoughtful introductions to the dining experience
- Maintain an accurate waitlist and communicate wait times clearly and courteously
- Coordinate closely with management, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, special requests, and guest inquiries
- Monitor the dining room to ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and guest satisfaction
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns with poise and urgency
- Uphold the restaurant's standards for appearance, etiquette, and service excellence
Qualifications
- Previous hosting or hospitality experience in an upscale or fine dining environment preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Can use OpenTable efficiently
