Host/Hostess

Job Summary

The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming dining experience by greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, maintaining knowledge of food and beverage menus, supporting restaurant operations, and ensuring the front-of-house area remains clean, organized, and guest-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage guest seating and maintain an organized waiting list.
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menus to assist guests.
• Answer telephone calls and follow hospitality and customer service standards.
• Keep the host/hostess station stocked, organized, and presentable.
• Monitor and replenish restroom supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
• Support a team environment focused on excellent guest service and sales.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional restaurant environment.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support restaurant operations.

Requirements:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant hospitality standards and telephone etiquette.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage menus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs.
