Host / Hostess - Quarterdeck

Position Summary:
The Host/Hostess at The Beach Club at The Sea Pines Resort serves as the welcoming face of our premier oceanfront dining experience. This role is responsible for creating a warm, polished, and memorable first impression for every guest. The Host/Hostess manages reservations, guest flow, and seating while delivering attentive, personalized service that reflects the resort’s luxury standards and coastal hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor upon arrival and departure
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments efficiently
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus
• Maintain an accurate seating chart to support service flow and table turnover
• Communicate effectively with servers, management, and kitchen staff regarding table status and guest needs
• Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
• Anticipate guest needs and accommodate special requests when possible
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
• Uphold The Sea Pines Resort service standards at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous hospitality, hosting, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Positive, guest-focused attitude
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments
