Overview

We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic servers, hosts and bartenders to join our La Loma team. In any role, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing top-tier service to our guests in a sophisticated, upscale environment. Your role is crucial in ensuring that each guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. We are looking for dedicated, hospitality professionals with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a keen sense of time management, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Guest Service and Key Responsibilities:

·                     Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.

• Provide confident, performative, qualitative service to all guests.
• Provide detailed information about the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine and beverage pairings.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Anticipate and address guests' needs, ensuring a personalized and memorable dining experience.
• Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Prepare and process guest checks accurately, handling payments and managing cash or credit transactions.
• Work collaboratively with fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, service standards, and company policies.

Qualifications:

·                     Experience: Previous experience as a server in an upscale or fine dining restaurant is preferred. A strong understanding of high-quality service and guest relations is essential.

·                     Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to service.

·                     Knowledge: Familiarity with upscale dining etiquette, food and beverage pairings, and upscale menu offerings. Knowledge of wine and cocktail service is a plus.

·                     Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor, with adherence to the restaurant's dress code and grooming standards.

·                     Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, ability to traverse stairs comfortably throughout the shift, and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
