About the Role:
Piccolo Trattoria in Newtown, PA is looking for a warm, polished, and passionate Host/Maître D' to be the welcoming face of our beloved Italian restaurant. Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor upon arrival
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to optimize dining room flow
• Coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
• Oversee table turnover and communicate wait times accurately to guests
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with grace and professionalism
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entrance area
• Assist in training and guiding host staff on service standards and guest engagement

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a host, maître d', or front-of-house restaurant role preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm, composed, and courteous in a high-volume dining environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Familiarity with reservation management systems OpenTable, a plus
• Professional appearance and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
