You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, overseeing dining room maintenance and monitoring service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Create floorplan & map (managers approval)
Confirm new terrace and private party setup
Change and light candles in front entrance/lounge area
Unlock side doors on arrival and front door at opening time
Making sure we have clean and enough menus for the evening/brunch
Check IPads update and make sure they are charged
Reconfirm reservations for next day
Print VIP and special requests for manager
Confirm tables are set for the right amount of guests
Update status of tables and mark in Open Table accordingly
Pull out chair and present menus/tasting menus and wine menu for guests
Introduce the guests to server
Communicate with the kitchen regarding guests counts and length of wait for tables
Always smile and greet guests with a warm welcome
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and hostess stand throughout the day
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company and FORBES standards
Anticipate and address guests` service needs
Check the restroom and perimeter of the restaurant every 30 minutes to ensure cleanliness
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and open front door
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
Know what sustainable initiatives Terranea is currently taking to adhere to the environment
Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property and perimeter
Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy
Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Qualifications:
Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational individual
Must be able to speak, comprehend, and read English
Must have strong communication skills
Ability to implement and uphold service standards
Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Availability to work weekends
Experience, Education, & Licensure:
2 years of fine dining preferred
Hotel experience preferred
High School diploma preferred
Compensation
Base Pay Start Rate: $19.19/Hr.
