As Newport News’ premier chophouse, we’re known for exceptional steaks, seafood, and service. Our Host is an important part of that experience — you’re the first and last impression our guests have.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Welcome every guest with a genuine smile and warm hospitality
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
- Answer phones and assist guests with questions and requests
- Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and the rest of the team
- Keep the host stand clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Help manage the flow of the dining room during busy services
- Handle guest interactions with confidence, professionalism, and grace
- Maintain a polished appearance appropriate for an upscale steakhouse

- Outgoing, friendly, and naturally personable
- Confident and comfortable talking with guests
- Polished and professional without being stuffy
- Organized and able to multitask
- Calm and composed when the restaurant gets busy
- A strong communicator and dependable team player
- Positive, upbeat, and genuinely enjoys hospitality
- Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous hosting, upscale dining, or customer-service experience is a plus
