POSITION OVERVIEW

The Food and Beverage Host is the first point of contact for our guests and is responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. The Host provides a fantastic first impression, ensures efficient seating of guests, and supports the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional service. This role also assists with answering phones, taking carry-out orders, and supporting the food and beverage team as needed. The Host must have a strong understanding of operational standards, policies, and procedures, and be able to effectively demonstrate them. Compliance with all Southern Nevada Health Department guidelines and codes is required to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and team members alike.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Provides a strong first impression and delivers exceptional guest service. • Answers the phone promptly and professionally. • Seats guests properly and efficiently to ensure smooth service flow. • Focuses on overall guest experience and ensures every guest receives a personalized experience. • Adheres to Health Department guidelines and maintains sanitation standards. • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. • Assists with taking carry-out orders over the phone. • Supports team members in various tasks when needed. • Performs any and all other responsibilities within the scope of the job description.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of hosting experience preferred. Must demonstrate honesty and integrity inside and outside the workplace. Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to 100% guest satisfaction. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid food handler's certification card. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. Valid Food Handler's Card.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address guest concerns and resolve problems in standardized situations.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT
