Requirements

The Host/Hostess is the first and last impression of the Tacos & Tequila Cantina experience. This role is responsible for greeting guests with genuine hospitality, managing seating efficiently, answering phones professionally, and helping create a smooth flow throughout the restaurant.

What You'll Do:

Create a Warm Welcome

  • Greet every guest with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
  • Make guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.
  • Thank guests for visiting and invite them to return for future visits.
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.

Manage the Guest Experience

  • Seat guests efficiently while balancing table rotation and server sections.
  • Accurately communicate wait times and manage guest expectations.
  • Maintain awareness of restaurant flow to support seamless operations.
  • Assist in creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Support Restaurant Operations

  • Answer incoming calls with professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent phone etiquette.
  • Accurately manage takeout orders and guest inquiries.
  • Maintain clean and organized host stand and menu areas.
  • Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service.

Be a Brand Ambassador

  • Represent Tacos & Tequila Cantina with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
  • Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.
  • Demonstrate our T.A.C.O. core values in every guest interaction.

Work as Part of a Team

  • Collaborate closely with all restaurant team members to support daily operations.
  • Remain open to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Arrive on time and prepared for every shift.
