Host / Hostess
We are seeking a Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team. In this role, you will welcome guests, manage seating, and inform them of any specials. Your goal is to create a warm first impression and help provide an exceptional dining experience from the moment guests arrive.
This position is primarily needed only for weekend dinner rushes.
Candidates should be located near Woodside, Queens (11377) and able to report to work on short notice when required.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide accurate wait time estimates
- Seat guests while considering server availability and guest needs
- Provide menus and communicate any specials
- Help maintain a smooth and organized front-of-house flow
- Assist the team in creating a positive guest experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or server required
- Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code, including a dress shirt and appropriate attire.
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to carry multiple dishes when needed
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Comfortable using POS systems, we use Toast.
