Hostess - The Pasta House - Union

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and welcoming team member to create a positive first impression for every guest who enters our restaurant. In this role, you will help set the tone for an enjoyable dining experience by greeting guests promptly, managing the waitlist efficiently, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, courteous service
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and the waitlist in an organized and efficient manner
• Seat guests promptly based on dining room availability and service flow
• Communicate accurate wait times and table status to guests and team members
• Answer phone calls and assist with guest questions as needed
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized host stand and entrance area
• Support servers and management with guest needs and front-of-house coordination
• Assist with menus, seating materials, and other front-of-house setup and closing tasks

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or restaurant experience is helpful, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain friendly and composed in a busy environment
• Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize guest needs effectively
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Team-oriented mindset and a commitment to providing excellent service
